The Past
For decades the t-shirt printing business has been dominated by the screen printing methods. The screen printing method creates great t-shirts. However, for each t-shirt design unique screens need to be created for each color that is in the design. The screen making step adds a large setup fee to any t-shirt design and limits production to larger quantities of shirts (typically atleast 20 shirts to be cost effective). The only alternative to screen printing was heat transfer t-shirts. In this process, the inks are printed onto a transfer paper and the paper is than heat pressed onto the shirt. This technique allows for low setup charges and low quantity orders. However, the heat transfer technique produces a hard feel to the shirt and the shirt has poor washability.

The Future
Goonatic Wear is on the forefront of t-shirt printing. We are using the latest direct t-shirt printing machines. These machines are similar to an ink jet printer, however they use inks specially fromulated for garment printing. The inks are absorbed into the fibers of the shirts. This method provides a very soft feel to the shirts. Since the inks adhere to the shirt fibers, the washability of the t-shirts is excellent. The greatest attribute of this direct garment printing technique is the zero setup cost and the ability to customize each shirt. We are able to stock only the blank shirts that we need and we can print your order on your choice of t-shirt colors and your choice of t-shirt size.
